Announcement comes after the company was accepted into New York’s ESD program
American colocation provider Opti9 plans to upgrade its New York 1 data center over the next four years.
The upgrades at the Long Island facility are expected to cost $20 million, with the investment driven by Opti9’s recent acceptance into the New York Empire State Development (ESD) program and allocation of 1MW of hydropower from New York Power Authority’s (NYPA’s) ReCharge NY program.
